Chenelle joined KYFC, Inc. in 2019. She attended WVSU to receive a Bachelor’s of Social Work, Bridge Valley Community Technical College to become a Certified Addictions Counselor and Youth Specialist, and Marshall University to receive a Masters of Social Work, Licensed General Social Worker in the state of West Virginia. 

As a Clinician and Director of Outreach Events and Community Engagement, Chenelle is driven to bridge the gap between our services and the community we serve. The collaboration of our school-based therapy and resource initiative and Chenelle’s dual position as the Assistant Attendance Director/Social Worker at Mary C Snow West Side Elementary, identifies the importance of how individual environmental factors and social, emotional, and mental health relates to the student’s attendance, behavior, academic performance and overall well-being of the families in the community we serve. Also, as the Youth Coordinator for the Mayor’s Youth Summer Job Program and member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated Charleston-Institute Alumnae Chapter, Chenelle continues to work effortlessly to serve and have a positive impact in our community.
